We are fast-growing accounting & advisory firm providing varied services, including accounting, taxation, advisory, and finance broking. We are looking for an accounting graduate or a junior accountant who is willing to learn and building up the work experience through real business clients.

Tasks & responsibilities
• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for companies, trusts, SMSF, partnerships, and individuals.
• Review of financial statements, income/expenses statement prior lodged tax returns to identify the best strategy for completing future tax returns. Assessment of tax savings and recommend strategies to improve clients' profitability.
• Bookkeeping and payroll processing.
• Properly research and seek the advice of senior accountants when confronted with particularly challenging or unusual or unsure tax circumstances. Assess difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Work closely with clients to obtain the relevant documents regarding potential deductions including inform clients of important documents needed to complete tax returns accurately. Review and verify supporting documents provided by clients ensuring their proper submission.
• Ensure comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities and offer support and guidance during audits.
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required. Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
• Keep track of industry trends and changes related to personal & business taxes.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database using Handisoft. Knowledge of Reckon and Xero is a bonus.
Qualifications & experience
• An Australian degree in accounting
• Have a high level of understanding of Australian Taxation Law
• Excellent organization and communications skills. Ability to speak Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese languages would be a great advantage.
• Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, advanced numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Working experience in a similar role is preferrable
• Competent in using Excel and other Microsoft Office products
